Peningkatan kadar myoglobin, IGF-1 dan kreatinin kinase terhadap asupan protein (Trichiurus lepturus) dan aktivitas fisik

Abstract
Asupan protein dan aktivitas fisik merupakan salah satu cara mempercepat pertumbuhan otot. Jumlah asupan protein menjadi salah satu faktor menentukan proses pertumbuhan otot. Sedangkan aktivitas fisik akan memicu kerusakan sel otot pasca latihan, namun akan mengalami perbaikan kembali sehingga terjadi perubahan massa otot. Myoglobin dan kreatin kinase menjadi salah penanda adanya kerusakan sel akibat aktivitas fisik dan Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 (IGF-1) merupakan hormon pertumbuhan bagi otot. Beltfish (Trichiurus lepturus) memiliki kandungan protein yang tinggi dan mudah diolah sebagai bahan pangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan kadar myoglobin, IGF-1 dan kreatinin kinase dalam darah terhadap asupan protein beltfish dan aktivitis fisik. Metode penelitian ini adalah eksperimental dengan menggunakan hewan coba tikus wistar (Rattus novergicus) yang terbagi menjadi 6 kelompok. 3 kelompok merupakan kelompok kontrol sedangkan 3 kelompok lainnya diberikan kadar protein yang berbeda dan aktivitas fisik selama 28 hari. Parameter pengukuran perkembangan otot menggunakan kadar myoglobin, kreatin kinase dan IGF-1 dalam darah. Data yang telah didapatkan akan dilakukan uji one way ANOVA untuk mengetahui perbedaan antar kelompok. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan aktivitas fisik dapat meningkatkan kadar myoglobin, IGF-1 dan kreatinin kinase. Pemberian asupan protein terbukti dapat meningkatkan massa otot melalui perbaikan kadar myoglobin, IGF-1, dan kreatinin kinase
