Publication Ethics
Jurnal Lentera Kesehatan Masyarakat (JLKM) follows the COPE Best Practice Guidelines to ensure ethical publication. The following duties apply to all parties involved in publishing: authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.
Duties of Authors

Submit original, unpublished work and avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, and duplicate publication.

Properly cite all sources used.

Ensure authorship reflects actual contributions; all contributors must be listed.

Disclose conflicts of interest and funding sources.

Cooperate with editors in correction or retraction if errors are found.
Duties of Editors

Make publication decisions based solely on scholarly merit, without discrimination.

Ensure a fair double-blind peer review process.

Maintain confidentiality of all submissions.

Prevent conflicts of interest and avoid using unpublished material for personal gain.

Act on misconduct cases (plagiarism, data falsification, unethical research).
Duties of Reviewers

Evaluate manuscripts objectively, within the agreed timeframe.

Maintain confidentiality and avoid misuse of submitted content.

Disclose conflicts of interest and decline reviews outside their expertise.

Provide constructive feedback to help authors improve their manuscripts.
Duties of Publisher

PT. Lentera Kesehatan Indonesia ensures editorial independence and integrity.

Provides technical and ethical support for the entire publishing process.

Maintains permanent availability and preservation of published articles through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN).

Withdraws or retracts articles if proven unethical.
Retraction and Correction Policy
JLKM may issue retractions, corrections, or expressions of concern following COPE guidelines in cases of ethical misconduct, data falsification, plagiarism, or significant errors.
