Author Guidelines
1. Scope and Originality
- Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal.
- JLKM accepts original research articles, literature reviews, editorials, and brief reports within its stated public-health scope.
- Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English using clear academic language.
2. Double-Blind Submission Requirements
- Upload an anonymised main manuscript for initial review. Remove author names, affiliations, email addresses, acknowledgements, and other information that could identify the authors or institutions.
- Do not include author names in the manuscript filename or document properties.
- Enter every author's full name, affiliation, country, email address, ORCID (when available), contribution, and correct author order separately in the OJS metadata form. Identify one corresponding author.
- After acceptance, restore author information only when requested by the editorial office. The final manuscript, OJS metadata, PDF, DOI/Crossref record, and other metadata services must match exactly.
3. Manuscript Preparation
- Recommended length: 4,000–6,000 words, excluding references and appendices.
- Title: concise, specific, and no more than 12 words.
- Abstract: Indonesian and English, one paragraph each, maximum 250 words, covering background, objective, methods, main results, and conclusion.
- Keywords: 3–5 terms separated by semicolons.
- Research articles should contain Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements (when applicable), Declarations, and References.
- The introduction must identify the research problem, relevant literature, research gap, novelty, and objective.
- Methods must describe the design, setting and period, population and sample, instruments, data collection, analysis, and ethical approval where applicable.
- Results and Discussion must present findings clearly, interpret them critically, and compare them with relevant literature.
4. References and Formatting
- Use APA Style, 7th edition, consistently and prepare references with a reference manager such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
- At least 80% of references should be relevant primary sources published within the last 10 years, unless older authoritative sources are essential.
- Submit a Microsoft Word file (.doc or .docx), not a PDF. Tables and figures must be numbered, cited in the text, and accompanied by clear titles and sources where applicable.
5. Ethics and Required Declarations
Where applicable, provide the ethics committee name and approval number, informed-consent statement, funding information, conflicts of interest, author contributions, data-availability statement, and permission for copyrighted material. Do not fabricate or omit required declarations. Maintain anonymity in the review file.
6. Article Template and Submission
Prepare the manuscript using the official JLKM Article Template, then submit it through the online submission system. Incomplete or non-anonymised submissions may be returned for correction before editorial screening.
