Peer Review Process
Jurnal Lentera Kesehatan Masyarakat (JLKM) applies a double-blind peer review policy, meaning that both reviewers and authors remain anonymous during the review process. Each submitted manuscript will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the field of public health or related areas.
The review process involves:
-
Initial Screening – The editorial team evaluates the manuscript for scope, format compliance, and minimum quality standards. Manuscripts are also checked for plagiarism using Turnitin.
-
Peer Review – Suitable manuscripts are assigned to two reviewers with relevant expertise. Reviewers assess originality, methodological rigor, ethical aspects, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
-
Decision Making – Based on reviewer feedback, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision (accept, minor/major revision, or reject). If necessary, an additional reviewer may be invited.
-
Revision and Final Decision – Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewer comments. Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated before final acceptance.
This structured process is designed to ensure that all published articles meet high academic and ethical standards.
