Uji kerentanan nyamuk Aedes aegypti Surabaya terhadap sipermetrin menggunakan metode tabung WHO

Abstract
Kegagalan program pengendalian vektor demam berdarah sering dikaitkan dengan munculnya resistensi nyamuk Aedes aegypti terhadap insektisida. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menilai tingkat kerentanan nyamuk Aedes aegypti dewasa strain Surabaya terhadap insektisida sipermetrin menggunakan metode tabung WHO. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strain Surabaya Timur dan Surabaya Selatan dari nyamuk Aedes aegypti mulai menunjukkan tanda-tanda resistensi terhadap insektisida sipermetrin dengan tingkat kematian untuk strain Surabaya Timur hanya mencapai 85% pada konsentrasi insektisida sipermetrin terendah dan masuk ke dalam kategori ‘resisten’, sedangkan tingkat kematian strain Surabaya Selatan mencapai 90% pada konsentrasi insektisida sipermetrin terendah dan masuk ke dalam kategori ‘terduga resisten’. Waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk melumpuhkan 95% populasi nyamuk uji dari kedua strain (KT 95) lebih dari 1 jam dan nilai rasio resistensi kelumpuhan (KRR) lebih dari 1. Temuan ini menunjukkan perlunya perubahan tindakan dalam menangani vektor seperti perlunya rotasi insektisida, pengembangan metode pengendalian alternatif, atau pemantauan resistensi secara berkala. Informasi ini penting untuk merumuskan kebijakan pengendalian vektor yang lebih tepat dan berkelanjutan di Surabaya.
